History and usage

Cybercore (which is also referred to as Y2K or Cyber Y2K) style started bubbling up in the fashion scene in mid to late 2010s. Cybercore's new popularity comes alongside the revival of many early 2000s style and imagery in pop culture and music.Notably, design houses such as Balenciaga and Balmain have started featuring Cybercore inspired clothing in their shows with the appearances of floor length leather or PVC trench coats, visors, baggy jeans, and oversized puffy jackets feature in many looks.
